Important distinction: FreightShipping.ca is an independent information and business-directory platform. 1. Acceptance and Scope

FreightShipping.ca is owned and operated by 1001087630 Ontario Inc., a corporation incorporated under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. In these Terms, "FreightShipping.ca", "we", "us", and "our" refer to 1001087630 Ontario Inc. and to the website it operates at freightshipping.ca.

By accessing, browsing, submitting information to, purchasing a service from, or otherwise using FreightShipping.ca, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or its services.

If you use the website or purchase a service on behalf of a company, partnership, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to act for that entity in connection with the submission, purchase, or use involved.

Paid services are intended for businesses and persons acting for business or commercial purposes. Additional terms shown at the point of purchase, order, renewal, or submission form part of these Terms for the applicable service.

2. Nature of FreightShipping.ca

FreightShipping.ca is an independent freight and logistics information and business-directory platform. The website may provide educational resources, original or assisted editorial content, industry information, company listings, reviewed company profiles, links to external sources, aggregated news references, and paid promotional publishing services.

A company being listed, referenced, quoted, linked, reviewed, verified, or featured on FreightShipping.ca does not make FreightShipping.ca a party to that company's contracts, shipments, services, representations, acts, or omissions. Users are responsible for selecting service providers and conducting appropriate due diligence before entering into a transaction.

3. Different Types of Content and Sources

Content on FreightShipping.ca may come from different sources and should be understood according to its context. It may include:

  • Original informational and educational content prepared for FreightShipping.ca.
  • Editorially assisted content created with the help of research, automation, or artificial intelligence tools and reviewed or edited before publication where appropriate.
  • Public-source business information collected from company websites, public records, directories, government or regulatory sources, public announcements, or other publicly accessible material.
  • Company-submitted information supplied, corrected, or confirmed by a company or a person representing a company.
  • Verified Company information consisting of selected information reviewed under the scope of the applicable FreightShipping.ca verification process.
  • Sponsored or promotional content created for, supplied by, commissioned by, or paid for by a business and identified as sponsored, promotional, partner, advertorial, or similar content where applicable.
  • Third-party news and media references such as headlines, summaries, source names, links, excerpts, metadata, or other references that direct users to independent publishers.
  • Automated feeds and listings distributed or organized through RSS, Atom, categorization, indexing, or similar technologies.

The presence of content on the website does not mean every item has been independently verified by FreightShipping.ca. The source, status, and level of review may differ by page and content type.

4. Informational, Educational, Regulatory, and Commercial Content

FreightShipping.ca publishes general information about freight, logistics, transportation, shipping methods, customs, trade, insurance, risk, finance, technology, regulations, compliance, careers, operations, and related topics. This information is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

Content is not legal, tax, accounting, customs, insurance, investment, safety, regulatory, or other professional advice for a particular transaction or circumstance. Freight rates, tariffs, laws, regulations, government programs, carrier rules, service areas, classifications, requirements, and business practices may change.

Verify before acting. Important decisions should be confirmed with the applicable regulator, government authority, qualified professional, carrier, broker, customs professional, insurer, lender, or other authoritative source as appropriate to the situation.

Examples, estimates, comparisons, calculators, descriptions, ranges, or scenarios are illustrative unless a page expressly states otherwise. They are not guarantees of price, transit time, availability, legal status, eligibility, performance, or commercial outcome.

5. Company Directory Listings

5.1 Public-source and unverified listings

FreightShipping.ca may create or maintain company listings using publicly available business information, company submissions, previous communications, or other sources we reasonably consider relevant. A company may therefore appear in the directory without having purchased a service or directly submitted the original listing.

An unverified listing is provided as a directory reference and does not represent endorsement, certification, recommendation, or a representation that FreightShipping.ca has independently confirmed every detail shown. Information may be incomplete, outdated, changed, or inaccurate.

5.2 Claiming or updating a listing

A business or authorized representative may request to claim, add, correct, or update a company listing. A free claim or submission does not create Verified Company status. Any identity or domain/email alignment check used to administer a claim is limited to the claim process and should not be interpreted as the broader paid verification described in Section 7.

5.3 Directory discretion

We may review, edit, categorize, standardize, consolidate, decline, suspend, correct, or remove directory information where reasonably necessary for accuracy, quality, security, legal compliance, duplication control, or operation of the website. Submission of a listing does not guarantee publication, placement, indexing, visibility, or continued availability.

6. Company Claims, Corrections, and User Submissions

When you submit company information, text, logos, images, links, documents, claims, corrections, or other materials, you represent that:

  • you are authorized to provide the information or materials;
  • the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not intentionally misleading;
  • you have the rights or permissions needed for any logos, trademarks, photographs, written materials, or other protected content you provide;
  • the submission does not unlawfully infringe another person's rights, violate confidentiality obligations, or contain unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive, or malicious material; and
  • where you act for a company, you have authority to request the applicable listing action or service.

You retain ownership of materials you own. You grant FreightShipping.ca a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license (solely to service providers such as hosting, content-delivery, syndication, and distribution partners acting on our behalf) to host, reproduce, format, resize, adapt for display, publish, distribute, and use submitted materials to operate, promote, administer, and provide the requested listing or service. This license lasts for as long as the material is reasonably needed for those purposes, subject to legal, archival, recordkeeping, and backup requirements.

We may make non-substantive edits for spelling, grammar, formatting, consistency, categorization, layout, accessibility, or style. Material factual changes may require confirmation or additional information.

7. Verified Company Service

Verified Company is a paid subscription service. Payment provides access to an upgraded profile and a defined information-review process. Payment does not purchase an endorsement, favourable factual finding, safety certification, regulatory approval, or guarantee of business quality.

The verification process may review selected public and company-provided information, such as company identity, website or domain alignment, business contact information, service categories, location, service area, business information, and other items identified on the applicable profile or service description. The exact scope may vary depending on the company, available information, service type, and what is stated as reviewed.

Verified status does not, unless expressly stated for a specific item, constitute or guarantee:

  • regulatory certification, licensing approval, or ongoing regulatory compliance;
  • safety certification, carrier audit, inspection, or operational audit;
  • insurance coverage, adequacy of insurance, or continuing insurance status;
  • financial solvency, creditworthiness, or financial review;
  • service quality, shipment performance, capacity, pricing, availability, or suitability;
  • the accuracy of every statement made by the company outside the specific information reviewed; or
  • endorsement, recommendation, partnership, or a guarantee by FreightShipping.ca.

Verification reflects information reviewed at or around the time indicated or maintained through the applicable service process. Business information can change. Users should independently confirm any fact material to a shipment, contract, safety decision, regulatory obligation, credit decision, or other transaction.

FreightShipping.ca may suspend, remove, update, or decline Verified status where information cannot be reasonably confirmed, where information appears materially inaccurate or misleading, where required cooperation is not provided, where the subscription is no longer active, or where continued display would create legal, security, integrity, or reputational concerns for the platform.

8. Sponsored and Promotional Content

FreightShipping.ca may publish sponsored, promotional, partner, or advertorial content under separate written terms or an applicable purchase agreement. Sponsored content is separate from the Verified Company service and is not included with a Verified Company subscription unless expressly stated in writing.

8.1 Sponsored status and editorial distinction

Paid promotional material will be identified using labels such as sponsored, promotional, partner, advertorial, or similar language so that the commercial relationship is clear to readers. Payment for sponsored content does not convert promotional claims into independently verified facts and does not affect the factual scope of a separate Verified Company review.

8.2 Customer responsibility for claims

The customer is responsible for the accuracy and lawful use of facts, quotations, statistics, certifications, awards, partnerships, customer names, performance claims, trademarks, photographs, logos, and other information it supplies or approves for publication. We may request support for claims and may reject, edit, postpone, or remove material that we reasonably believe is unsupported, misleading, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with our publication standards.

8.3 No performance guarantee

Sponsored and promotional content services provide only the content, publication, placement, or other deliverables expressly agreed to. They do not guarantee media pickup, journalist coverage, backlinks, search-engine rankings, Google visibility, AI citations, inclusion in AI-generated answers, traffic, leads, sales, shipment opportunities, conversions, revenue, or any other outcome controlled by users, search engines, AI systems, publishers, platforms, or third parties.

9. Subscriptions, Billing, Renewals, Cancellation, and Taxes

Prices, billing frequency, included features, and applicable service periods are displayed on the relevant service page, order flow, invoice, or checkout. Unless expressly stated otherwise, prices are shown in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes may be added based on the customer, transaction, location, and legal requirements.

  • Verified Company monthly: CAD $59 per month as a recurring subscription.
  • Verified Company annual: CAD $499 per year, paid upfront as a recurring subscription.
  • Free directory listings: are not subscriptions and are not monthly or annual paid plans.

9.1 Recurring billing and renewals

Verified Company is a recurring subscription. Monthly subscriptions renew each month on the original payment date. Annual subscriptions renew each year on the original payment date unless cancelled before renewal. By starting a subscription, you authorize the applicable payment method to be charged at the selected billing interval until the subscription is cancelled or otherwise terminated.

9.2 Monthly cancellation

Cancelling a monthly subscription stops the next monthly renewal. The subscription remains active until the end of the current paid monthly period, and no refund is issued for unused days remaining in that period.

9.3 Annual cancellation and refund calculation

Annual subscriptions are paid upfront at CAD $499. If an annual subscription is cancelled during its annual term, each monthly billing period that has started is recalculated at the regular monthly rate of CAD $59, using monthly periods measured from the original annual payment date.

The effective cancellation date is the end of the last monthly period covered by the annual payment after this recalculation. Any remaining prepaid balance is refunded. If the monthly-rate calculation has already used the full annual payment, cancellation takes effect when processed, no refund is issued, and no additional amount is charged.

Example: Cancelling during the 11th monthly billing period produces no refund because eleven monthly periods at CAD $59 exceed the original CAD $499 annual payment. No additional amount is charged.

9.4 Failed, reversed, or disputed payments

If payment fails, is reversed, disputed, or remains overdue, we may pause or suspend paid features while the payment issue is resolved. A public profile may revert to an applicable unpaid or unverified state when the paid verification service ends, subject to our directory policies.

10. Third-Party News, Media, Sources, Feeds, and External Links

FreightShipping.ca may reference, summarize, index, link to, or display information about articles, reports, websites, organizations, companies, government sources, and other third-party materials. Third-party publishers and rights holders retain ownership of their underlying articles, brands, trademarks, photographs, and other protected content.

A headline, source reference, link, excerpt, summary, thumbnail, citation, or inclusion in a feed is provided for discovery, context, attribution, or informational purposes and does not imply that FreightShipping.ca owns the underlying third-party publication or is affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by that publisher or source.

External sites operate independently and are governed by their own terms, privacy practices, editorial policies, and security controls. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their continued availability, content, accuracy, security, products, services, or practices.

RSS, Atom, and similar feeds may be provided to facilitate discovery and syndication of the feed material made available through them. A feed does not grant a license to reproduce a complete third-party article or to copy, republish, or commercially exploit FreightShipping.ca content beyond the rights expressly provided, permitted by applicable law, or authorized in writing by the relevant rights holder.

11. Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Generated Media

FreightShipping.ca may use artificial intelligence and automated tools to assist with research organization, drafting, summarization, categorization, metadata, formatting, content operations, workflow automation, image or thumbnail creation, and other publishing or administrative functions.

AI-assisted or automated output can contain errors, omissions, outdated information, inaccurate inferences, or unexpected results. The use of an automated tool does not make that tool an authoritative source. Important facts should be verified against appropriate primary or authoritative sources before being relied on for legal, regulatory, financial, safety, operational, or commercial decisions.

Illustrative or AI-generated images are not necessarily documentary photographs of an actual shipment, person, facility, event, product, or company unless specifically identified as such.

12. Intellectual Property

Except for third-party content and materials owned by their respective rights holders, the website and its original content, design elements, organization, graphics, branding, logos, verification materials, badges, written materials, and other original assets are owned by or licensed to FreightShipping.ca and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

You may use the website for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You may not copy, scrape, reproduce, republish, sell, license, create a competing database from, or commercially exploit substantial portions of the website or its original content without permission, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Company names, logos, trademarks, and materials supplied by listed businesses remain the property of their respective owners. Their display on FreightShipping.ca does not transfer ownership to FreightShipping.ca.

13. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use FreightShipping.ca to:

  • submit false, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, unlawful, infringing, or malicious information;
  • impersonate a company, employee, representative, rights holder, or other person;
  • claim or alter a listing without appropriate authority;
  • interfere with website security, forms, rate limits, anti-abuse controls, servers, networks, or normal operation;
  • introduce malware, automated abuse, destructive code, or unauthorized data-collection tools;
  • harvest personal information or use website data for unlawful unsolicited communications;
  • misrepresent a FreightShipping.ca listing, badge, verification status, sponsored article, or relationship with FreightShipping.ca;
  • remove or obscure source attribution, sponsored disclosures, copyright notices, or other notices; or
  • use the website in a manner that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Reasonable automated access by legitimate search engines and technologies that respect applicable technical controls may be permitted. We may restrict automated access that creates excessive load, bypasses controls, copies substantial content, or threatens security or normal operation.

14. Corrections, Listing Disputes, Rights Concerns, and Takedown Requests

We aim to correct material factual errors when reasonably supported. A company, publisher, rights holder, or other affected person may contact us regarding inaccurate business information, disputed attribution, intellectual-property concerns, privacy concerns, or material believed to require review.

A request should identify the relevant URL, the information at issue, the requested correction or action, and reasonable supporting information. We may ask for identity, authority, ownership, or factual documentation before making a material change. Submitting a request does not guarantee removal where we have a lawful basis to retain, correct, attribute, or publish the information.

15. Website Availability and Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FreightShipping.ca and its content and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that every page, listing, service, link, feed, tool, search result, or item of information will always be available, current, complete, accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

We do not guarantee that a company listed on the website will respond, provide a quote, accept a shipment, perform services as expected, maintain a particular licence or insurance policy, remain financially solvent, or be suitable for a user's needs. Users remain responsible for their own commercial and due-diligence decisions.

We may modify, reorganize, pause, discontinue, or remove website features, categories, listings, content, feeds, or services where reasonably necessary.

16. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FreightShipping.ca will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, data, opportunities, goodwill, shipments, customers, or expected savings arising from or related to use of, or reliance on, the website, directory information, third-party content, external links, automated output, listed companies, or services.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to these Terms, the website, or any service, whether in contract, tort, statute, or otherwise, will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amounts you paid to FreightShipping.ca for the service giving rise to the claim in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100). Where no amounts have been paid, our aggregate liability will not exceed CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold FreightShipping.ca harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable expenses arising from materials or claims you submit or authorize, your infringement of another person's rights, your unlawful use of the website, your misuse or misrepresentation of Verified status or sponsored content, or your material breach of these Terms, except to the extent a claim results from conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Suspension, Termination, and Changes to These Terms

We may suspend or terminate access to a feature, listing, claim, submission, or paid service where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, suspected fraud, unauthorized activity, misuse, security risk, material inaccuracy, violation of these Terms, legal requirements, or risk to the integrity of the website or other users.

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the website, services, business practices, laws, regulations, or operational requirements. The effective date at the top of the page will be updated when these Terms are revised. Where required by applicable law or where a change materially affects an active paid service, additional notice may be provided as appropriate.

Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property provisions, payment obligations already incurred, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnities, and governing-law provisions, will continue to apply after termination to the extent legally enforceable.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the courts having jurisdiction in Ontario, except where applicable law gives a party a non-waivable right to proceed elsewhere.

Before commencing a proceeding, each party agrees to attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other in writing and allowing thirty days to respond. This does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief at any time.

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, reorganization, acquisition, or sale of assets.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented at the point of purchase, order, renewal, or submission, form the entire agreement between you and FreightShipping.ca regarding the website and its services, and replace any prior understanding on the same subject matter.

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network or hosting failures, third-party service outages, power failures, labour disruptions, acts of government, natural events, or armed conflict.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
